About Us
History
This chapter was previously known as the St. Joseph Management Club. In the mid-1970s, the organization changed the emphasis to human resources. The Human Resource Management Association was formed and is currently operating under the same name. We also became an affiliate of the national Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). We currently have 72 members.
Purpose
- To provide opportunities for conferences, cooperative exchange of information and research among members.
- To raise the standards of performance in all phases of Human Resource Management.
- To encourage adherence to Association and SHRM Code of Ethics.
- To assist the community in civic affairs, which might encourage the development and progress of the Human Resource profession and employment in the area?
