    Program Description:
This presentation will provide a physician’s perspective on the importance of using pre-employment drug testing, when to do post-accident drug testing, what the review process entails at the office and how it affects the claim, and how to partner together with your physician to decrease the return-to-work length for injured employees and reduce the chances of re-injury on the job.

    About our Presenter
David “Rocky” Cathcart, DO, MPH, is the Medical Director of Heartland Occupational Medicine and a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO), available to Heartland Occupational Medicine clients to ensure legal validity of drug testing. After reviewing the drug screen results, the MRO may interview or examine the employee to determine if a legitimate medical reason is available to explain the outcome of the test. It is strongly recommend that a Medical Review Officer review all positive drug tests, to ensure all positive results are valid and can withstand a potential legal challenge.
