Join us for the 2014 SHRM Missouri State Conference being held August 5-8, 2014 at Tan-Tar-A Resort! This year's conference will be packed with over keynote, general and concurrent sessions covering a wide range of human resource topics for all levels of practitioners.

Optional Pre-Conference Workshop, Tuesday, August 5th

    • Pre-Conference Workshop!  Pre-approved for 6.0 hours of PHR/SPHR recertification credit, this one-day pre-conference workshop "Culture Builder Bootcamp: The What, Why and How of Building an Inclusive Organizational Culture" will be held on Tuesday, August 5th.  Diversity and Inclusion work seems to be at a crossroads.  We have gotten very good, as individuals and organizations, at saying wonderful things about Diversity and Inclusion, yet there is often very little corresponding action.  You would be hard pressed to find another aspect of how we do business today where what we say is more clearly divorced from what we do.  Joe's inspiration and energy are infectious and his 9 Factors of an Inclusive Organizational Culture will give you a clear framework for guiding your organizations D&I efforts.  The session will be facilitated by one of SHRM's most sought after speakers, Joe Gerstandt.

Registration fee:  $169 (includes lunch) and 6.0 hours of PHR/SPHR recertification credit.

    Keynote Speakers

    • Opening Keynote - This year's opening keynote is the amazing Erik Wahl. As an internationally recognized graffiti artist, and a #1 best selling business author, Erik redefines the term "keynote speaker."  Pulling from his history as both a business strategist and an artist, he has grown to become one of them most sought-after corporate speakers available today.  Erik's on-stage painting seamlessly becomes a visual metaphor to the core of his message, encouraging organizations toward profitability through innovations and superior levels of performance.  His list of clients include AT&T, Disney, London School of Business, Microsoft, FedEx, Exxon Mobil, Ernst & Young and XPrize; Erik has even been featured as a TED presenter.  The responses received have been nothing short of incredible, with standing ovations to prove it.  Visit Erik's website at www.theartofvision.com.

    • Thursday Keynote - Thursday's keynote will provide fun and variety! Ignite HR! Nine speakers will have five minutes, 20 slides each on the hottest HR topics!

    • Closing Keynote - This year's closing keynote will be presented by Amanda Hite.  In this session, we'll hear case studies from some of the industries most Socially Devoted Brands and Digital Top Charters like Cinnabon and Taco Bell.  Learn what marketing and social media might not tell you, how to manage your digital communities across multiple platforms and explore ways you can build an army of advocates that fall madly in love with your brand.  People work for brands they have a crush on!  We'll share strategies and content that have ignited word of mouth movements that have driven extraordinary business results and take you on a digital journey of driving sales, recovering guests, and discovering new markets through social media and digital advertising.
