Program Description:

The revised Form I-9 was released in March 2013. Even the most 'seasoned' I-9 professionals will walk from this 1 hour high energy conversation saying "I didn't know that!" We'll discuss the changes in the revised form, discuss many areas that include common mistakes while completing the I-9, how you can complete an I-9 (on a new hire) before they start working for pay, copying documents, what to do if you are missing an I-9, and more!

Upong conclusion of the presentatino, attendees will be able to: 

• conduct employment eligiblity verifications correctly
• avoid common unfair work-related employment practices
• locate a host of resources to assist inthe employment eligibility verification process
• eliminate the "well I heard I could..." procedures via a thorough presentation and Q&A session

Presenter Information:

 Dave Basham, Outreach Sr. Analyst, 

Dave joined U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in 2008 following his retirement from the U.S. Army. As a senior analyst he serves as a national contact for ICE IMAGE Agents in regards to the I-9 & E-Verify. His speaking engagements have included audiences of elected officials, immigration attorneys to HR and payroll professionals in over thirty size states and territories. Dave's military assignments were numerouse in the Infantry arena. His military service decorations include the Legion of Merit.
