    Program Description:

Most Human Resources practitioners get a headache just thinking about navigating the maze of employee leave laws, including the FMLA and ADA.  Come learn about the different employee leave laws so that you can make it through the maze unscathed and confident in your ability to deal with employee leave.

    Learning Objectives:

    • Family and Medical Leave Act - When it applies, how to handle requests for leave, and what to do once an employee is on FMLA leave.
    • Americans with Disabilities Act - How to recognize when the ADA applies, how to reasonably accommodate employees, and what to do once an employee is covered by the ADA.
    • Unusual events that may give rise to application of the ADA or FMLA.
    • How to protect your organization from claims based on the FMLA and ADA.
