Program Description:
This webinar will discuss best practices to increase cultural competence at the workplace. It will give attendees a better understanding about the typical diversity efforts employed in organizations and the lesser known demographic factors that need to be addressed to improve competency.

Most diversity and inclusion efforts in an organization focus on particular observable demographics such as race, gender, age, etc. This presentation will expand the concept of diversity by addressing the more global concept of cultural competency within organizations. Presenter Information:
Vicki Amsinger is a HR consultant, based in the Greater St. Louis area, and has over 20 years of experience in employee communications, recruitment, training, performance management, policy development, employee relations and human resource information systems. She holds a master’s degree in human resource development from Webster University as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Missouri S and T. Ms. Amsinger holds a Senior Professional in Human Resource Management (SPHR) certification, has served on the board of directors for the Lewis and Clark Chapter of SHRM and the board of directors for the Missouri State Council of SHRM.
In addition, she is a contributing writer to the St. Louis Post Dispatch’s "The Workplace" column.
