     Human Resources Representative - Off Shift

    HR Generalist

    The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR management in supporting designated parts of the business, overall business objectives, and strategic goals.  This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: training, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.


    • Administers various HR plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook

    • Supports recruitment effort for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, interns and temporary employees; conducts new-hire orientations; writes and places recruitment advertisements

    • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continuous improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed

    • Provides guidance to internal partners based on the understanding of existing policies, laws and regulations

    • Maintains HR information system records and compiles reports from the database

    • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment

    • Conducts exit interviews

    • Monitors the performance evaluation program

    • Performs other related duties and responsibilities or ad-hoc projects as needed

    • Participates in developing departmental goals, objectives and systems



    • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (or equivalent work experience)

    • Three to Five (3-5) years HR experience required

    • At least some experience working in the HR field within a retail and/or a fulfillment center setting would be ideal, but will consider candidates from other industries

    Physical requirements

    • This position is primarily sedentary with occasional walking and standing.

    • Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

    • Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and/or fingers while operating a keyboard.
